Hello Friends!! Today I am participating in a Blog Hop to support Autism and to fundraise for OAR which is the Organization for Autism Research to continue helping the families impacted by Autism.
As I mentioned earlier this month, April is the month for Autism awareness, so therefore you might have seen a lot of blog hops supporting this cause and raising funds to help organizations with their research and to continue providing programs that support those impacted by this disability
To be honest with you all, I just recently started learning about this disability, and I am really surprised with how little it is known specially when a lot of children are being identified to have certain degree of Autism. When reading about this, most of the articles mention that it impacts children differently, and while there are certain commonalities on the symptoms, each child will be impacted differently, so truly the families going thru this have to learn from scratch about how to help their little ones as each case is very unique.
My card today is using dapper denim as blue is one of the colors used to represent Autism, and I wanted to make a card with a child in mind as this desease impacts mainly kids, and I thought this sentiment is just perfect! don’t you think!!
On the previous blog hop about Autism, one fellow demonstrator mentioned that both of her kids have Autism and she described them as having super powers! It moved my heart seeing how she described the uniqueness of her little ones!! so I thought this sentiment would fit perfectly!
As usual, this is a quick and easy card that you can duplicate without a problem, I used the eastern palace designer series paper, and picked the color combo for my card based on this DSP.
I started by stamping the dinosaur in dapper denim and then added the bones in basic black, this was super easy as the stamp set is photopolymer so you can see thru the stamp and therefore it is easy to line up the solid image with the bones.
Then I added the leaves in lemon lime twist, so that I could fill out the background
Hope you have enjoy this card, if you have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting me, I would be more than happy to help!!
Also here is the supply list for all the items I use to make this card, you can click at any of the images to go to my online store, where you can purchase any of these items!! thanks a lot!! I truly appreciate your support, also don’t forget….
