Here are the In-colors that are retiring at the end of May, with the exception of Flirty Flamingo that is returning and will be available as part of our core colors!!!
Same as with the paper, the stamp set I chose is retiring!, this is Birthday blooms and it is also one of my favorites, I love the mixed fonts on the sentiments and the flower images are as well very beautiful, you can do a lot of coloring techniques with this images.. so I found it to be very versatile.. 🙂
For this card I chose to color with the stampin’ blends, I love using our new alcohol markers, and I know for the time being you cannot order them, but they are coming back sometime in May, and in the new catalog Stampin’ Up! is releasing a lot more new colors!!! I am super excited to get more options for colors in the blends, as they are converted in my favorite technique for coloring!! I love that I don’t see the strikes when I am coloring and I enjoy the blending of colors..
Dimensions: The card base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ folded in half (and it is in Emerald Envy), the next layer is lemon lime twist and it measures 3 3/4′ x 5″, from this piece I die cut the scallop circle from layering circles, and the designer series paper measures 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, then I die cut the largest circle from the stitched shapes framelits in whisper white, and also cut a strip of the lemon lime glimmer paper that is about 1″x 4″, cut both ends to make the banner flags.
Stamp the images in the whisper white circle with the Memento Ink pad, and then color the flowers using the stampin’ blends, and to add a little more to the flowers I used the wink of stella!! you can see in the close up the shimmery look that it will give to the flowers!! Believe me all things look better with Wink of Stella 😉
To embellish the focal point of my card, I added sequins from the tutti-fruit backed adhesive sequins, these are easy to add and I always feel like it adds more to a card.. these come in 5 colors (berry burst, lemon lime twist, so saffron, soft sky, pumpkin pie), so you get a good variety of sequins for your card making..
Also here is the supply list for all the items I use to make these cards, you can click at any of the images to go to my online store, where you can purchase any of these items!! thanks a lot!! I truly appreciate your support, also don’t forget….
