Hello Friends!! Today I want to share with you a tip regarding color combinations for your card making projects..
Sometimes I feel like I use the same color combo over and over again, so to spin things around, I look at any designer series paper (DSP) and then find a pattern that I like the most that day, you know some days you like some sheets better than others, depending on your mood, does that ever happen to you?? any how, once I pick the pattern that I like the most, then look at the colors being used in that sheet, and voila! instant inspiration, then I just challenge myself to create a card with that color combo!!!
The card that you see today featured in my blog, was made exactly that way!, I was not so inspired and felt like I had been using the same color combination for a while, so I decided to pick a pattern with colors that I normally don’t use! I got to say that I really liked how this card turned out!!
You can see that on the designer series paper “Garner Impressions” the colors being featured are Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, and Pacific Point! definitely not a color combo that I would have thought by myself, it is too bright, but I really loved how this card turned out.. also check that I only use little Pacific Points as highlights, this was also following the design I picked from the DSP, you can see that on the paper there are only few spots with this color, so that helped me as well on the design of the card.
