Sympathy card with Nature's Poem Suite!

Hello Friends! today I am sharing a card that I will send to a dear friend who recently lost her husband. I don’t like to stock up on Sympathy cards, as they always make me feel sad. These type of cards usually get made on a needed basis..

From the picture, you can see today’s card is very easy to duplicate. I used the design of the leaves for this card, as I thought it would be very appropriate for the occasion. I added the embossed leaves made with the same colors as the DSP, as this will make the card to coordinate in full. 

I embossed the leaves using the coordinating Nature’s Roots framelits. This set not only does it cut the images on the Rooted in Nature stamp set, but it also embosses. This set contains three coordinating embossing leaves.

Because I didn’t want to have too many layers on the card, I stamped the sentiment onto the designer series paper. I used Blackberry Bliss, because it is a dark color, and it would stand up even with a busy designer series paper. You can see it on the close up picture below.
