Color & Contour Bundle from Stampin’ Up!
As mentioned at the beginning today project features the Color & Contour Bundle. This bundle is a brand new one in the new catalog.
As you can see below the stamp set has line images as well as bold images add color to the line images. I definitely love this about this set as it gives lots of alternatives for techniques. For instance today I will be coloring the images with alcohol markers, but you can choose to do water coloring as well .
The other thing I want you to notice is the gorgeous coordinating die set! this is amazing to create labels! You know I love labels as these always helps me when following sketches! so I am excited to see these dies.
Every single rectangle in this set, has a different embellishing mark, like dots or stitch marks or little holes.. They all look really nice.
Plus this die set has as well a border die that will surely be a hit in cardmaking!
All in all, I love this bundle!
Easy Fun Fold
But as I was mentioning at the beginning, today I wanted to share an easy fun fold with you. See below how this one looks.
Below you can see the video tutorial so you can see step by step how to make this one.. the base on this card is a long card base of 4 1/4″ x 11″ and then cut a 3 1/4″ from one end. You would need to score at 5 1/2′ and then from the 3 1/4″ left over piece, you can trim it to 2 1/4″. These would be the pieces you need for the base, as well as a rectangle die cut from the bundle.
The rest is just embellishing it. So make sure you watch the video tutorial to follow along how to make it.
As far as the flower, I decided to color using the stampin’ blends a.k.a. alcohol markers. And for the Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used a sheet from the Pansy Petals DSP.
I wanted to feature one of the new in colors – Pale Papaya, and this DSP has a nice gingham patter with several of the in colors, so I knew it would be perfect.
And for embellishments I used the open weave ribbon in Pale Papaya.
As you can see everything looks so well coordinated. This is so easy, when you use Stampin’ Up! products as everything color coordinate beautifully, making your card making very easy when it comes to color.
