Have you checked out the new Art in Bloom Bundle from Stampin’ Up? If you haven’t then keep reading as today I will share with you an easy card that you can make using this amazing bundle.

But before we start, please know that this post is part of a blog hop that is showcasing pressing embossing or dry embossing cards, and this means that you will get lots of ideas when you hop along with us.

So let’s get started!

Art in Bloom Bundle

When I found out about the theme of our blog hop, I immediately thought about the “Art in Bloom” Bundle as it has a unique feature.  Not only does the stamp set has a coordinating die set, but it also has a coordinating 3D embossing folder!  You can see below all the products included in this special bundle.

One thing to note is that the 3D embossing folder comes with the die set, so you don’t have to get it separately. And you save 10% when you purchase the stamp set and the die set together.. so you get all three items in the bundle (Item 158368)

Check in more details the items included in the Art in Bloom bundle from Stampin Up!

This bundle helps you cut out the images and give them dimension so when you use all these products together, you get an instant WOW factor in your cards.

Another thing to mention is that the die set has pairs of the leaf dies which makes it even faster to cut out the images as you can cut two at a time, which is what I typically use per flower.

Plus it has two label/banner dies that you can use for your sentiments.. Like I said this die set is just great for so many cards..

Below you can see the cards I am featuring with this bundle.

This type of bundle is kind of new with Stampin’ Up!, we started with the “Sand and Sea” Suite collection, where the “Friends are like Seashells bundle” coordinated with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. I know this has been very popular in the crafting community as it keeps getting on backorder every single time.. And it really is that you can make easy embellishments for your cards in an easy way. Not to mention the level of coordination in your projects is even higher.

If you are curious and want to see the projects using the Sand & Sea Suite you can go to this post..

Color Combination

Because I wanted to feature the flowers in this bundle using the 2021-2023 in colors, I decided to use the Polished Pink.

I went for an easy color combo for my cards as the leaves would go in green, in this case in Old Olive, and the background would be in white and black!

This color combo is one of my go to color combos for Polished Pink or with Pinks for that matter, as the cards always turn out really cute. As a prove you can see this post using the very same color combo, or this other post but now with the now-retired Rococo Rose.

I am telling you, this color combo works every single time 😉

Friendship Card Details

Learn how to make easy cards when using the Art in Bloom bundle. For these cards, I stamped the flowers in colored cardstock and only did some highlights using the stamping blends

Because I was making multiple of this card, this helped me speed up the process.

You could however stamp the image in Basic White Cardstock and color it with either the blends or watercolor pencils or any other coloring technique.

Then I went ahead and did exactly the same for the leaves. I used Old Olive cardstock and then added highlights with the blends.

And then I cut all the images with the die set. For the flowers then I lined them up to the embossing folder and run them try the cut & emboss machine, which added the texture. You can see a bit of this on the picture in the left.

To finish off the flower I added a large gem from the Gilded Gems. I love doing this as it always makes the flowers pop.. and you can use any type of gem you have. If you have smaller gems, then you can add three of them in the center and these would look equally nice.

And for the background I used the images of the stamp set and created an easy pattern using the Stamparatus. You can watch the video tutorial below to see step by step instructions as well as the measurements.

The Video Tutorial

As mentioned, here is the video tutorial for you to see exactly how this card is put together step by step. I also share some tips to help you line up the flowers to the embossing folder so you have a better impression and I provided some tips on how to use the stamparatus to stamp the pattern in the background of the card.

As mentioned, I was making several of these cards, so using the stamparatus helped me a lot in getting them done faster.
