The Timeless Tulips Stamp set is really one of my favorites as it helps you make the most beautiful Tulips for your projects! And as you might know Tulips are my favorite flower!! So anytime I use this stamp set I get sooo happy!!
This stamp set has a coordinating punch and so cutting the larger tulips becomes very easy!
But before we start, please know that today I am participating in a blog hop with a lot of great designers! Our theme today is Birthdays, so if you are looking for Birthday handmade card ideas you are in for a treat!!
So hop with us and visit all the blogs participating today. I know you will get lots of great ideas and inspiration that you will want to start crafting right away!
So let’s get started!
Three Beautiful Birthday Handmade Cards!
Below you can see the Three Birthday Handmade Cards I designed for this blog hop!
Are these not adorable?
And didn’t I told you that the tulips in this stamp set were amazing! you can see that all three of these cards are just gorgeous! (if I say so myself)
For this cards I wanted to use the True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is one of my favorites! The only colors included in this paper pack are Black and White, making it very versatile as it goes really well with any color!
The Color Combination
And talking about colors, because I used the True Love DSP, it was super easy to make a color combo this time! I only needed to pick a color for my flowers and instantly I got a gorgeous color combination for my projects today!
Now you might looking a brand new color, in the color Combo, and you are right! The Polish Pink is one of brand new In-Color family that we will have between 2021-2023 when the new catalog is released!!
Stampin’ Up! released 5 brand new colors each year and these are available for two years, but that also means that with a brand new in-color family, we also get 5 colors retiring every year..
But for this post I want to introduce you to the brand new 2021-2023 In-Color family!
Introducing the NEW 2021-2023 In Color Family
Below you can see the Brand NEW color we are going to have for the next two years! Are these not beautiful??
This year I just loved every single one of them!
I think that all of these colors are going to coordinate excellent with the other family colors we have! And of course you know I love Purple, so I was EXTREMELY happy to see a purple shade in this selection!
I was so sad to see Purple Posy retire this year, but all is better now that I have Fresh Freesia! lol..
And the best part of getting new new colors, is that we get a new set of brand new products that coordinate with these beautiful colors!
Below you can see how the ink pads, the markers, cardstock and ribbon coordinate beautifully.. I honestly think this is the best feature from Stampin’ Up! products.. I love how well everything color coordinates.
You cannot see it in the picture, but there are other products available in these new colors, Gems, patterned paper, vellum paper and a set of ombre paper bags.. I know you will love them all!
And if you are loving these colors as much as I am, then you are going to love my brand new In-Color Club that will start in May!!

Sketches & Other Details
But back to our beautiful Birthday handmade cards! (since I digressed)
If you can’t tell I am super excited with the new colors, that I couldn’t resist myself and play with at least one of these colors for my cards today!
And as you know I love using sketches for my cards. I think that this is the easiest way to make cards and to find your creative mojo right away!
One more thing to note is that for all the tulips I used an easy color technique, so make sure you watch the video tutorial in this post to learn how to add even more depth to your tulips, making them look even better!
Birthday Card #1
This first sketch has become one of my favorites and I am sure you might have noted that I have been using it more and more lately.. I just love how easy this sketch is for mixing and matching DSP.. So I have been enjoying using this sketch to use more and more of my DSP.
Let’s be real, how much paper do you have??? If you are like me, you might have full boxes (😅 yes plural!) of patterned paper, and if that is the case, then using an sketch like this is the best to use as much as we can..
After all, you know you will keep buying more paper, the minute you see brand new paper being released from Stampin’ Up! next May 4th??? right?? lol
Never in our lives would we say, I won’t buy more paper because I have enough! So let’s use it!
Plus when you use DSP in your cards, the whole process becomes so much easier, as you are letting the paper do the work for you! Boom! mic drop! 🤣
Birthday Card #2
For this second card, I want to point out that I embossed the basic white cardstock in the background, as this would add so much mode texture and dimension, so consider doing this when you can plain cardstock as one of your layers.. you will see how your card looks even more professional or with a nice finished touch.
Now did you notice that in all cards, I used a double bow? Oh my gosh! I have been liking this particular detail in cards I have been finding online! ooh and I just wanted to give it a try..
Don’t you think it looks even nicer? Now I know a bow is already challenging, and now two? i know.. but trust me, just have a bit of patience when you are making them.. you will see is not that bad or that hard.
Birthday Card #3
And for this card, I actually was inspired by a card my fellow demonstrator Antonette Bay from The Paper Papillon shared in Pinterest..
I was browsing thru Pinterest when I came across her card and fell in love with her layout.. She used the same stamp se, however her colors were different. If my memory doesn’t fail me, she used Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and White.
So the sketch I am sharing today is coming from that card.
Shifting the background papers has also become somewhat popular in my cards, as of late.. I just love how making this small change makes so much of a difference in the looks of the layers..
The Video Tutorial
And as usual here is the video tutorial where I share how to make these cards step by step.
On this video I also share an easy technique for adding more depth to the Tulips when you stamp them, so make sure you check that out. I also provide two other color combinations using the brand new in-colors, so you can see more looks for this tulips.
And you can see how easy it was doing the double bows for these cards.
