Ever wonder how to get two-tone stamped images? If so, you are in for a treat as today I will share how to do this in a easy way.
But before we start, please know that this post is part of an amazing blog hop that will be featuring techniques for your to learn and use in your cardmaking! So make sure to stick around, and hop with us as we share some cool techniques.. Even better, let me know which one is your favorite!
So lets gets started!
Two-tone Stamped Images
This easy technique is perfect when you want to add dimension to your images, as you can have a light and dark section on your images which will give a bit of a 3D illusion to your images.
Here are the things that you would need to have for this technique:
Bold image stamp, as you need to have a flat surface to apply both colors
Light color ink pad
Dark color ink pad
Dauber
Below the steps to follow for the two-tone stamped images technique:
Add the light color ink pad to the stamp image as you would normally do
Ink a dauber with the dark color ink pad
Tap the color with the dauber onto the inked stamp set – TIP: do not rub the dauber on the stamp set as this would leave marks
Stamp the image onto cardstock and you are done
Clean the stamp before repeating the process – This is an important step to avoid staining the light ink pad with dark ink
Finished Projects!
As you can see in the picture, I used the two-tone stamped image technique with the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, since the peaches, leaves and flowers stamps are flat to add color as you will see in the video tutorial below.
For the Peaches I used Calypso Coral and the Pale Papaya for the stamping technique and see how beautiful those peaches look! Don’t you agree?
The Color Combo
As usual, I looked for inspiration in the designer series paper (DSP) a.k.a. patterned paper to get a color combination. And quite honestly, the You’re a Peach DSP is amazing as far as color! you can get so many color combos from this pack alone!
Once I got the color combo, I just selected the patterns I wanted to use which would follow these colors..
By the way, if you have not heard yet, there is an awesome promotion during July where selected pattern papers are at 15% discount! And the You’re a Peach DSP is part of that promotion, so if you have been looking at this paper pack, this month is perfect to add it to your collection!
Other packs included in this promotion are listed below:
You’re a Peach, Sweet Symmetry, Hand-Penned,
Tiding of Christmas, In Good Taste, Pansy Petals
Beauty of the Earth, Bloom where You’re Planted, In the Wild
Below you can see the sketches I used as well as the individual card pictures.
Make sure you watch the video tutorial below to see how to make these cards step by step!

Three Easy Cards with the You’re a Peach Suite
Below you will see three cards using the You’re a Peach Suite. you are going to see how simple, yet beautiful these cards are.
By the way, I have to mention that these are three of the cards that we made in our team meeting at the beginning of June! Every first Saturday of the month we meet as a full team to recognize all our achievers, to discuss upcoming events and promotions, to get some training if you ever are interested in getting in building the business side with Stampin’ up!, to see a stamping presentation (which are amazing) and to stamp together as a team!
I love our team meetings and every month I get pumped and inspired from all the swaps, card shares, and other tips that get shared!
Our team is the best!
But I diverged..
For my cards today I used the scalloped contours as you can see for two of the cards, which helps you make the cutest rectangle labels with different decorations in the border. Plus it also makes a cute scalloped border, which can be used in your cards to make a fun border!
You can see the cards in more detail in the pictures below.

If you loved the cards using the You’re a Peach Suite, then you’ll love getting the card class tutorial showcasing this suite.

Looking for beautiful Birthday card ideas to make? If so, today I am sharing with you birthday cards using the Sand & Sea Suite from Stampin’ Up!
But before we start, let me tell you that this post is part of an amazing blog post! so make sure you check all the participating blogs as you will get tons of ideas and inspiration for your next crafting project!
So let’s get started!
Introducing the Sand & Sea Suite Collection
As you can see the Sand & Sea Suite Collection is beautiful by itself. It has a beautiful stamp set with great sentiments that can go for multiple occasions.
But what stands out even more is that the stamp set, the die cutting and the embossing folder coordinates beautifully. I think that Stampin’ Up! did amazing with the coordination of this whole suite as everything mesh really well.
I love that you not only can die cut the stamped images, but you can also give them dimension. And this feature will really change your cards from a normal card to a WOW card! believe me.. You got to try it out and see for yourself how beautiful these get.
This suite also contains cute little stickers which coordinate really nice with the designer series paper, so if you are looking for a quick project this would go really fast and still make a super cute card.
The designer series paper (DSP) has amazing patterns. One side is more of a generic pattern that not only is good for beach related cards, but other themes as wells. And the other side has a cute pattern that definitely goes well with beach theme related cards. So if you ask me this is a DSP that you want to get, and stock on, as it goes really well with this whole suite!
And finally, the Opal rounds are just the perfect little embellishment to compliment your cards! These look like little sea bubbles (is that even a thing? or did I just made it up? ha! 🤣), so they finish up your cards so beautifully.
Quick Reminder
One thing I am forgetting to tell is that this whole collection is part of the Jan-June Mini Catalog. Which means that some of these products will for sure retire by end the of June..
The good new is that the “Friends are like Seashells” Bundle (stamp + die set), and the Seashells 3D embossing folder made it to the new Annual Catalog as well as the Opal rounds. However, the DSP and the Stickers did not! So these will be on a while supplies last during June..
So don’t delay, if you like these items get them right away!
Beautiful Birthday Cards
As I mentioned the stamp set has amazing sentiments for several occasions, however since I wanted to make three beautiful birthday cards for my friends, I only used the Birthday sentiments.
Below you can see the Birthday Cards. What do you think? Do you like them?
I definitely love how they turned out! And when you see how easy these are to make, you will love them even more! So make sure to watch the video tutorial below to catch all the tips on how to put these cards together.
But lets talk a bit about the details in these Beautiful Birthday Cards.
Color Combination
As usual, I followed the color combination on the DSP to give me inspiration for the color combo to use in these cards.
This is the simplest way to get ideas, specially if you ever think that you cannot come up with color combinations! What I love even more about this, is that I get to use color combinations that I might have never thought of!
So give it a try! I promise you’ll surprise yourself in a good way!
Once you select the color combo, then just pool everything you have in those colors like Cardstock, ink, markers, embellishments, etc. You will then start playing with only those things and see what you want to use for your cards. This always helps me get my creative mojo going..
And I honestly find this part really relaxing.
Birthday Cards Details
On this section I have a just a few details to share.. But you can watch the video tutorial to see the step by step on how to make these cards. I go over all the details as well as provide measurements, So make sure you watch it.
For my first card, I used seashells that were stamped in the colors from the color combo, and embossed using the coordinated products in the Sand & Sea suite collection.
One thing to note is that the die set in this suite is a bit different, I use it to cut the algae, but did not use it to cut the stamped images. The images are all connected in the die set but not in the stamp set, so in my case I thought it was easier to cut the images with scissors. You can see in the video tutorial more about this.
This second card, is very similar in the layout to the first card, however I used vellum, as well as the sentiment change, plus I embellish it with trim.. Little details link this can make your card look so much different.
And for this final card, I decided to play with a new Fun Fold! This is the first card I made using this Fun Fold, and I love it.. it looks more complex that what it is, but it is actually super easy!
So make sure you watch the video tutorial to see exactly how to do this fun fold.. I know you will love it!
Additional Information
One thing you are going to notice is that I decorated all the envelopes in of my cards.
I almost never do this, as I love mailing my cards with the clear envelopes, so that everyone can see the card itself as it travels to its final destination. However, for this time, I thought the cards were over the top and decided that these needed a special package, and so I decorated the envelopes to coordinate with these cards.
If you want to learn how to cover the flap on your card or the masking technique that I used to stamp the seashells in the envelopes, you can watch the tutorial here. The link will not work unless you are part of my FB group. So ask to join and I will happily add you.. It is open to anyone who loves making cards and sharing them with others.
From time to time I do special and exclusive videos like this in my FB group as a perk for being part of my FB group.
I hope you join my group! I know you will love being part of this amazing community of card makers!

Below you can see the Three Birthday Handmade Cards I designed for this blog hop!
Are these not adorable?
And didn’t I told you that the tulips in this stamp set were amazing! you can see that all three of these cards are just gorgeous! (if I say so myself)
For this cards I wanted to use the True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is one of my favorites! The only colors included in this paper pack are Black and White, making it very versatile as it goes really well with any color!
The Color Combination
And talking about colors, because I used the True Love DSP, it was super easy to make a color combo this time! I only needed to pick a color for my flowers and instantly I got a gorgeous color combination for my projects today!
Now you might looking a brand new color, in the color Combo, and you are right! The Polish Pink is one of brand new In-Color family that we will have between 2021-2023 when the new catalog is released!!
Stampin’ Up! released 5 brand new colors each year and these are available for two years, but that also means that with a brand new in-color family, we also get 5 colors retiring every year..
But for this post I want to introduce you to the brand new 2021-2023 In-Color family!
Introducing the NEW 2021-2023 In Color Family
Below you can see the Brand NEW color we are going to have for the next two years! Are these not beautiful??
This year I just loved every single one of them!
I think that all of these colors are going to coordinate excellent with the other family colors we have! And of course you know I love Purple, so I was EXTREMELY happy to see a purple shade in this selection!
I was so sad to see Purple Posy retire this year, but all is better now that I have Fresh Freesia! lol..
And the best part of getting new new colors, is that we get a new set of brand new products that coordinate with these beautiful colors!
Below you can see how the ink pads, the markers, cardstock and ribbon coordinate beautifully.. I honestly think this is the best feature from Stampin’ Up! products.. I love how well everything color coordinates.
You cannot see it in the picture, but there are other products available in these new colors, Gems, patterned paper, vellum paper and a set of ombre paper bags.. I know you will love them all!
And if you are loving these colors as much as I am, then you are going to love my brand new In-Color Club that will start in May!!
NEW 2021-2023 In-Color Club!
There are lots of perks as part of being in the 2021-2023 In-Color Club!
Being part of this club will help you complete your full collection of new in-colors in 5 months without breaking the piggy bank.
But back to our beautiful Birthday handmade cards! (since I digressed)
If you can’t tell I am super excited with the new colors, that I couldn’t resist myself and play with at least one of these colors for my cards today!
And as you know I love using sketches for my cards. I think that this is the easiest way to make cards and to find your creative mojo right away!
One more thing to note is that for all the tulips I used an easy color technique, so make sure you watch the video tutorial in this post to learn how to add even more depth to your tulips, making them look even better!
Birthday Card #1
This first sketch has become one of my favorites and I am sure you might have noted that I have been using it more and more lately.. I just love how easy this sketch is for mixing and matching DSP.. So I have been enjoying using this sketch to use more and more of my DSP.
Let’s be real, how much paper do you have??? If you are like me, you might have full boxes (😅 yes plural!) of patterned paper, and if that is the case, then using an sketch like this is the best to use as much as we can..
After all, you know you will keep buying more paper, the minute you see brand new paper being released from Stampin’ Up! next May 4th??? right?? lol
Never in our lives would we say, I won’t buy more paper because I have enough! So let’s use it!
Plus when you use DSP in your cards, the whole process becomes so much easier, as you are letting the paper do the work for you! Boom! mic drop! 🤣
Birthday Card #2
For this second card, I want to point out that I embossed the basic white cardstock in the background, as this would add so much mode texture and dimension, so consider doing this when you can plain cardstock as one of your layers.. you will see how your card looks even more professional or with a nice finished touch.
Now did you notice that in all cards, I used a double bow? Oh my gosh! I have been liking this particular detail in cards I have been finding online! ooh and I just wanted to give it a try..
Don’t you think it looks even nicer? Now I know a bow is already challenging, and now two? i know.. but trust me, just have a bit of patience when you are making them.. you will see is not that bad or that hard.
Birthday Card #3
And for this card, I actually was inspired by a card my fellow demonstrator Antonette Bay from The Paper Papillon shared in Pinterest..
I was browsing thru Pinterest when I came across her card and fell in love with her layout.. She used the same stamp se, however her colors were different. If my memory doesn’t fail me, she used Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and White.
So the sketch I am sharing today is coming from that card.
Shifting the background papers has also become somewhat popular in my cards, as of late.. I just love how making this small change makes so much of a difference in the looks of the layers..
The Video Tutorial
And as usual here is the video tutorial where I share how to make these cards step by step.
On this video I also share an easy technique for adding more depth to the Tulips when you stamp them, so make sure you check that out. I also provide two other color combinations using the brand new in-colors, so you can see more looks for this tulips.
And you can see how easy it was doing the double bows for these cards.
