Ever wonder how to get two-tone stamped images? If so, you are in for a treat as today I will share how to do this in a easy way.
But before we start, please know that this post is part of an amazing blog hop that will be featuring techniques for your to learn and use in your cardmaking! So make sure to stick around, and hop with us as we share some cool techniques.. Even better, let me know which one is your favorite!
So lets gets started!
Two-tone Stamped Images
This easy technique is perfect when you want to add dimension to your images, as you can have a light and dark section on your images which will give a bit of a 3D illusion to your images.
Here are the things that you would need to have for this technique:
- Bold image stamp, as you need to have a flat surface to apply both colors
- Light color ink pad
- Dark color ink pad
- Dauber
Below the steps to follow for the two-tone stamped images technique:
- Add the light color ink pad to the stamp image as you would normally do
- Ink a dauber with the dark color ink pad
- Tap the color with the dauber onto the inked stamp set – TIP: do not rub the dauber on the stamp set as this would leave marks
- Stamp the image onto cardstock and you are done
- Clean the stamp before repeating the process – This is an important step to avoid staining the light ink pad with dark ink
Finished Projects!
As you can see in the picture, I used the two-tone stamped image technique with the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, since the peaches, leaves and flowers stamps are flat to add color as you will see in the video tutorial below.
For the Peaches I used Calypso Coral and the Pale Papaya for the stamping technique and see how beautiful those peaches look! Don’t you agree?
The Color Combo
As usual, I looked for inspiration in the designer series paper (DSP) a.k.a. patterned paper to get a color combination. And quite honestly, the You’re a Peach DSP is amazing as far as color! you can get so many color combos from this pack alone!
Once I got the color combo, I just selected the patterns I wanted to use which would follow these colors..
By the way, if you have not heard yet, there is an awesome promotion during July where selected pattern papers are at 15% discount! And the You’re a Peach DSP is part of that promotion, so if you have been looking at this paper pack, this month is perfect to add it to your collection!
Other packs included in this promotion are listed below:
- You’re a Peach, Sweet Symmetry, Hand-Penned,
- Tiding of Christmas, In Good Taste, Pansy Petals
- Beauty of the Earth, Bloom where You’re Planted, In the Wild

Hi Allie! Thanks so much for your call this morning, sorry I missed it! I missed the registration for the Peachy class. I’ve had so much going on this past week. I was going to cancel the class Saturday but decided I needed to have some relaxation!
Can you go ahead and sign me up for it and send me the PayPal form? I’m really sorry because I’m usually good with deadlines but like I said, lately not so much! Lol
I called the number you left and let you know to go ahead and sign me up. If I’m too late I understand. I’ll wait to hear from you. You can send me an email at maurinva0129@yahoo.com because my phone is charging! Yet another sign that I’m just a little crazy lately!! Lol
Thanks again for calling. If you’re able to take a payment over my landline by debit card call me and we can expedite the payment so it won’t delay your order.
Thanks again Allie!
