Are you into easy fun fold cards to make? I know I love to incorporate fun folds for my cards, however I also look for the ones that are easy to make as I don’t have too much time to be doing one single card in hours..
So when I find easy fun folds you can hear me squeal in my craft room.. Even better if it maximizes my cardstock!
But before we start, I want to make sure you know this post is part of an amazing blog hop, where demonstrators around the globe are sharing thank you cards! so please hop with us and visit all participating blogs, I am sure you will get lots of inspiration.
So without further ado, let’s get started!
Easy Fun Fold Card
As mentioned above, for my thank you card, I wanted to use and easy fun fold. Mainly because this adds a little of a WOW to your card, and it doesn’t take forever to make.
See below how this card looks. Is this not a beautiful Thank you cards? Who would want to get one of this cards in the mail? Right?
As far as the construction of this fun fold card, the base of this card uses one piece of cardstock that is 4 1/4″ x 11″, you score it at 5 1/2″ and then you cut a 2 3/4″ piece from the long side, to have a piece that is 4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ which is the one that goes on the front as the top layer. (You can watch the video tutorial below)
Then you just need to cut 2 pieces of DSP. In my sample the one on the flap of the card is 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ and the second piece (dots pattern) is 2 1/2″ x 4″.
For the inside I use a 5″ x 3 3/4″ basic white cardstock. And then I just embellished the front with the flowers as well as the bow and the sentiment using the Flowers of Friendship bundle.
To finish off the card, I colored the rhinestones with stamping blends in daffodil delight and add them to my card front as well as the flowers, and then add a bow using the Polished Pink open weave ribbon.
Color Combination
For this card I decided to use the following color combination
Since I was using the Party Pattern designer series paper, and I wanted to use the Black and White pattern, I knew I wanted to use the pink to pop some color in my card.
I love how well these colors go together, and I have use this color combo in several on my cards.
You can see this post where I shared three cards using this color combo but with the Timeless Tulips stamp set (which is one of my favorite sets). As you will see in that post, is that this color combo works really well when you want to use flowers.
Video Tutorial
As usual you can check the following video tutorial where you can see how this card was made step by step, as well as measurements. You will see how easy this fun fold is to put together that you will want make this fun fold over and over again.
