Tag Buffet Blog Hop

So without further ado, here are the Christmas cards I made using the Tag Buffet kit from Stampin’ Up!.

Easy Christmas Cards using the Tag Buffet Kit

The Tag Buffet kit is an amazing kit that was designed to make 30 tags!! Five of six different designs!! and the kit is only $30USD, so pretty economic. Not to mention that the tags are just gorgeous!!

However in my case, I wanted to use the items in the kit for card making as I tend to need a lot of cards during this season. And using this kit made it super easy, mainly because everything is already “premade” meaning there are die cuts that can be used to embellish your cards.

So where do we start?

The first thing to do is to pick the colors you want to use for yours Christmas cards.

Just check the colors included in the Tag Buffet kit and pick up cardstock in the same colors. Then mix and match the cardstock with the elements from the kit.

For the cards I am sharing today I went with Shaded Spruce as the main color and I used it for the card bases. I also think I could have made these cards using Real Red as well, this color would have coordinated nicely too.

Below are the colors that would go really well with the Tag Buffet kit when making cards.

So pick some of these colors and play with them and get crafty! 😉

Below you can see in more detail Five easy Christmas cards that you can make using this kit, however let me say that you can create a lot more by changing the colors, or the layouts!

One thing to mention is that I used the Tag Buffet stamp set for the sentiment, but you can use any other stamp set you already have..  I definitely love the fonts and the sentiments in this set and it coordinates beautifully with the kit, don’t you think?

For the card with the cardinal I also used the leaves images to create a stamped background and then I embossed it with the tasteful textile 3D embossing folder to add even more dimension and texture to the card.

And if you are particularly interested to learn on how to make these cards step by step, then make sure you watch the video tutorial below! You will see how easy you can make all of these Christmas cards with the Tag Buffet kit .
